7.2/10

The hotel is situated right next to the Cardiff Gate service area, making it super convenient for travelers. The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, providing great service during my stay. However, my room was quite noisy, and there were several amenities that could use improvement. Overall, it's a decent spot for a night or two, especially if you're just passing through.

7.0/10

The hotel is conveniently located for motorway travelers, making it a decent stopover option. While the staff were exceptionally helpful, my room did have a smoky smell which affected my stay. The lift's broken buttons and poor signage were a bit disconcerting. On the positive side, the hotel managed to keep the noise levels low despite being near the motorway.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a smoky odor upon arrival, which was off-putting, and the furniture showed signs of wear and tear.
Service
10.0
The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to assist me, which really made my stay much better.
Location
7.0
The location is convenient for access to the M4 and to visit family in the area, but it's right next to a busy motorway.

Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt outdated, such as the lift's broken buttons and the lack of refurbishment in the room décor.

6.0/10

This hotel is a straightforward option for stayovers, especially for visiting Cardiff, thanks to its easy access from the motorway. The convenience of nearby dining options is a plus, but I faced a few issues that detracted from my experience, particularly around noise and comfort. Overall, it’s decent for a budget stay but has areas needing improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The room was a decent size and clean, but the bed was quite hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating, which made the check-in process quite pleasant.
Location
7.0
Situated just off the motorway, the location is convenient for quick access to Cardiff, but that also means it attracts significant traffic noise.
Dining
5.0
While there was a dining option nearby, the breakfast offerings at the hotel left much to be desired, with minimal choice and poor quality.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities are quite basic, lacking in some areas, but the hotel had a few recreational options available.

5.8/10

My recent stay at the hotel was quite underwhelming. While the staff was friendly and the rooms spacious, I struggled with noise disturbances that kept me from getting a good night's sleep. The location was easily accessible, but the overall experience didn't meet my expectations, especially considering the price I paid.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious but felt dated. While the bed was comfortable enough, I expected more attention to cleanliness and comfort.
Service
6.0
The staff was nice and tried to help, but it seemed there was a lack of management which affected the overall service.
Location
7.0
The hotel is located conveniently near a business park and has easy access to the main roads. However, it feels a bit remote from city life.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was basic and lacked variety, making for an average dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities felt lacking, especially in terms of communal areas where guests could relax; it could use more updates.

6.4/10

The hotel provided an overall pleasant experience, especially with its spacious and clean rooms, perfect for a quiet getaway. While the breakfast was satisfying, it wasn't as high quality as other Ibis locations I've visited. The location was a bit remote, and I found the lack of plug sockets near the bed to be inconvenient. However, the staff was nice and the price was quite reasonable.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious and clean, but they felt outdated and could use some refurbishment.
Service
6.0
Check-in was easy, and the staff was efficient but seemed a little understaffed at times.
Location
6.0
The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the city in a business park, which felt a bit isolated but was still convenient for access to the motorway.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was plentiful and nice and hot, though it lacked the quality I expected based on my previous experiences.
Facilities
6.0
Basic amenities were sufficient, but the hotel could benefit from some upgrades and improved facilities.
